As we welcome the new year, we say goodbye to the old... which can also mean - if we choose - letting go of things that don't work for us, including old attitudes and behaviors. Welcoming the new year is also traditionally a time of opening ourselves to new ways of being and to creating a new reality for ourselves. As Wayne Dyer famously said, and he also wrote a book with that title, you'll see it when you believe it. In the same vein, we must first dream of the world we desire, and empower it through our visions and intentions.
With this in mind, we launch our new year featured articles with Robert Moss who invites us to ..."Become a Dreaming Society: The Stronger the Imagination, the Less Imaginary the Results ".Our dreams bring us guidance and provide us with direction for our day-to-day life, and when we share them with those around us, we invite them into the process of understanding the messages and insights that are presented in the dream..
Another way that we are guided in our creation of a better world is through our intuition and Kim Chestney presents us with the methodology for "How To Arrive Consistently at Extraordinary Insights". However there are times, probably more than we would like, when our mind may poison the well of our future by holding on to emotions and energies that do not serve us in a constructive and positive manner. Tur?ya sheds light on "The 5 Poisons That Arise in our Mind -- and their Antidotes".
While we receive guidance and insights in our daily existence, whether in our sleep or our daytime encounters, guidance can also come from understanding our past lives and our lives-between-lives. Joanne DiMaggio helps clarify that concept in "Three Misleading Ideas about Past Lives and Life-Between-Lives".
We round-off our featured articles with "How to Create a Simple Farewell Ritual". While the article pertains to a farewell for a dying or deceased loved one, it can perhaps also be applied to saying goodbye to the year that we just experienced, or a trait we'd like to say goodbye to. Rituals, and in this case a farewell ritual, can be powerful in creating a transition from what was, to what will be.
