Welcome... Our InnerSelf welcomes your inner self.
The theme of the newsletter this week can be summed up as "you can do it" or more specifically "we can do it!". This is another way of saying "you/we have the power to make a change". The image of the arrows hitting the center mark reminds us that we too can aim for a goal and attain it, however "impossible" or grandiose it may seem. Peace and harmony on earth? Got it! Equality and abundance for all? Let's do it. Heaven on earth? Ok, here and now. Get ready, get set, aim and let go! We can do it!
We start with Serge Beddington-Behrens who writes of "World Service as a Gateway to Soul and to Happiness". We then move on to Maggie Craddock who asks "What Will Be Your Story? You Can Chart Your Own Course". Then Irene O'Garden shares "Taking the Plunge: A Rite of Passage".
The next article is one I wrote entitled "What Works For Me: 'I Can Do It!'" followed with the next step in the process, presented by Jean Walters who recommends being "Open to Possibilities: Flowing with Life, Motion and Change". We complete this week's featured articles with Jerry Sargeant who presents (and asks): "Meditation Techniques: Is There A Right Way to Meditate?
We complete our offering to you today with the abundance of articles added to the website this week on a great variety of topics having to do with life on Earth, right here, right now, along with new attitudes and new possibilities.
Please scroll down for the featured articles in this new issue of InnerSelf, and also the recap of all the articles that were added to the website during the week.
Wishing you enjoyable insightful reading, and of course a wonder-full, joy-full, health-full, and loving week.

World Service as a Gateway to Soul and to Happiness
Written by Serge Beddington-Behrens
For me, being of service means working on behalf of and thus taking a stand for a cause or causes that we believe in and which are dear to our hearts, and where we feel we can make some kind of positive contribution towards a healthier world.
What Will Be Your Story? You Can Chart Your Own Course
Written by Maggie Craddock
When it comes to your life story, deciding where you invest your time and energy during the prime working years of your career is one of the most important decisions you will ever make.
Taking the Plunge: A Rite of Passage
Written by Irene O'Garden
Near our little house in the woods runs a lovely rushy stream, Clove Creek. While it’s often brisk and prosperous, it takes a huge spring thunderstorm to understand how such a modest flow could carve out the dramatic and beautiful area known locally as The Gorge.
What Works For Me: "I Can Do It!"
Written by Marie T. Russell, InnerSelf
The reason I share "what works for me" is that it may work for you as well. If not exactly the way I do it, since we are all unique, some variance of the attitude or method may very well be something that will work for you.
Open to Possibilities: Flowing with Life, Motion and Change
Written by Jean Walters
It is true that change is the only constant. You cannot stop it or interfere with it. It is ongoing and occurring every minute all the time. What you can do is learn to deal with it appropriately so that you are not creating anxiety around change. You can learn to flow with it.
Meditation Techniques: Is There A Right Way to Meditate?
Written by Jerry Sargeant
If you let your mind run riot on its own, your ego will keep you in the illusory world of the future and past and this, my friend, is chaos. By meditating, creating space, becoming still in your mind, you create a natural environment where your creativity can flourish and clarity takes over your soul.
