Molokai is known for its slow pace of life, for its awesome geography, its friendly people, and for Father Damien and his work with the lepers of Kalaupapa. It is a wondrous place to visit in order to experience a more peaceful way of living. You can walk along miles of sandy beaches, take a mule trip down to the Kalaupapa colony, or drive and/or hike around the island to discover its beauty.
Getting to the Hawaiian island of Molokai
Local commercial flights to and from Molokai arrive and depart at the island’s main airport, the Molokai Airport, located at Hoolehua, in central Molokai as well as at a small commuter airfield, the Kalaupapa Airfield, located on the Kalaupapa Peninsula, on the island’s north shore.
Aloha Airlines, Island Air, and Hawaiian Airlines service Molokai from other islands.

There is no Hawaii Visitors Bureau office on Molokai, but much information can be obtained from the Oahu office.

Local Transportation on the island of Molokai, Hawaii
Rental cars are available from Avis, Budget , Dollar, Sunshine Rent A Car , or USA Rent-A- Car.

There is no bus service on Molokai so you must plan your Molokai vacation accordingly.

Molokai has two newspapers, The Molokai Dispatch published on the 1st and 15th of each month and The Molokai Advertiser, published each Friday. The Natural Yellow Pages (online only) is a natural product & services directory that covers all islands.
There are no radio or TV stations on Molokai but cable is available in most areas.
